Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical assistance during the commissioning and start-up phases of operations.
  • Troubleshooting process-related challenges as they arise.
  • Overseeing the performance of Polyethylene Fiber production processes and equipment.
  • Analyzing process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential issues.
  • Implementing strategies for optimization to improve throughput, yield, and energy efficiency.
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements and leading initiatives to boost plant performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Participating in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Planning and executing plant modifications and upgrades using the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Providing technical input and support during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Collecting and analyzing process data to evaluate plant performance.
  • Preparing technical reports and presentations on process performance and project updates.
  • Conducting training sessions for operations and maintenance personnel on process operations and safety protocols.
  • Developing and updating training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborating closely with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure efficient plant operations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in refinery or chemical industry operations, process engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in process optimization and troubleshooting within a refinery, petrochemical, or chemical environment.
  • Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis software.
  • A strong understanding of refinery or chemical processes, equipment, and safety standards.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
