QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training, and Experience

A recognized Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in senior financial administration and reporting roles, including at least five years in management positions. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in financial reporting, continuous improvement, and the implementation of new policies, procedures, practices, and systems.

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong leadership, management, coaching, facilitation, and supervisory skills, with a keen understanding of corporate and departmental priorities and robust business acumen.
  • In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, as well as financial, administrative, and contract management practices, including audit and program evaluation.
  • Familiarity with PSAS and the capability to apply it in the preparation of Financial Statements.
  • Understanding of HAMIS Guidelines, with the ability to provide guidance on compliance while considering the implications for sector allocations and financial reporting requirements.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure the accuracy of reports, including Financial Statements, CEO Expense reports, and audit confirmations.
  • Proven capability to design, implement, and oversee complex operational planning, problem-solving, financial reporting, and business processes.
  • High level of computer literacy, with extensive knowledge of computerized financial systems and advanced skills in spreadsheets and databases.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving systems and procedures.
  • Results-driven mindset within a high-pressure setting, with the ability to organize, prioritize workload, and meet multiple critical deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues and present high-quality business documents.
  • Strong commitment to client-focused services and teamwork.
  • Physical capability to perform the duties associated with the position.
