Position Overview

Emcon Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Snowplough Operator to ensure safe and efficient winter road conditions. This role involves operating specialized vehicles to manage snow and ice on highways.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is an asset, but training will be provided.
Work Environment
  • Cold and refrigerated conditions.
  • Exposure to hot and noisy environments.
  • Potential for wet or damp conditions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine checks, lubrication, refueling, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Operate various vehicles and machinery effectively.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
Licenses and Certifications
  • AZ class license required.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement is necessary.
  • Class 1/1F/A and Class 3/3F/DF Licenses are advantageous.
Equipment Experience
  • Experience operating snowploughs is essential.
Safety and Security
  • Driving record check and drug testing will be conducted.
Transportation Information
  • Employer will provide a vehicle.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is expected.
  • Good hand-eye coordination is necessary.
  • Overtime may be required during peak seasons.

  • Must be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
