As a Bus Driver with North Island College, you will operate a designated vehicle to transport students to and from college activities while ensuring a safe and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a bus or van in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport students to and from various college activities, events, and field trips.
- Conduct daily and routine inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with students, employees, and the public as a representative of the college.
- Report any defects or required repairs to the responsible administrator.
- Ability to install tire chains in inclement weather.
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Valid Class 2 Driver's License, including additional courses/training in defensive driving.
- Minimum three years professional driving experience.
- Valid OFA Level 1 First Aid certificate.
- Must present an exemplary driving record as demonstrated by a current driver's abstract.
