About the Role
Quinn Company, a leading Caterpillar dealership, is seeking a skilled Utility Specialist to join our team in Bakersfield, California.
As a Utility Specialist, you will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our store by performing housekeeping, material handling, and basic maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeeping duties of equipment storage areas and grounds.
- Assist customers and employees in the loading and unloading of equipment.
- Answer customer questions regarding equipment and other purchases.
- Check-in and out equipment as directed and within established guidelines.
- Verify operation and condition of equipment upon check-in and out.
- Convey materials and items as directed to designated areas within the facility.
- Use wash rack steam cleaner and water to clean equipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, cranes, or vehicles safely and perform daily maintenance as directed.
- Identify and operate CAT and related lines of equipment.
- Assist qualified Technicians with simple repair tasks.
- Communicate the reception of new deliveries.
- Coordinate the application of new equipment identification numbers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
