Canada Computers & Electronics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our product management team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our electronics retail business.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and revenue growth for assigned categories.
- Source and manage relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain incentives and promotional packages that drive sales and revenue growth.
- Conduct pricing analysis to ensure products are priced competitively and maximize revenue.
- Identify and assess new product and category opportunities to drive business growth.
- Manage the launch of new categories and ensure a smooth transition to the sales floor.
- Work closely with other departments to execute in-store merchandising, promotions, online marketing initiatives, and training of retail staff.
- Assess partnerships and licensing opportunities with external third parties.
- Provide regular reports on category performance and market insights to inform business decisions.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in electronics retail.
- Strong knowledge of the electronics and technology market.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in negotiation with vendors and suppliers.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
