We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Equipment Operator to join our team at Lafarge Canada Inc.

Job Summary:

The Mobile Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining mobile equipment, including excavators and wheel loaders, to feed the crushing plant in accordance with Lafarge's Best Practices and Policies. The successful candidate will also perform daily tasks, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and general plant housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently to feed the crushing plant.
  • Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Repair and maintain the crushing plant in a safe and timely manner.
  • Conduct general plant housekeeping to ensure the site is presentable and safe.
  • Collaborate with the Crushing Supervisor to ensure the plant is operating efficiently and safely.
Requirements:
  • Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience managing concrete rubble pile is an asset.
  • Industrial plant operation experience is an asset.
  • Industrial plant maintenance experience is an asset.
  • Requires heavy mobile equipment operation experience.
  • Valid "G" license is required.
  • Surface Miner Courses are an asset.
Working Conditions:

The Mobile Equipment Operator will work in a fast-paced environment, operating heavy equipment in a variety of weather conditions. The position requires travel and overnight stays at the location of the crushing campaign, with occasional weekend work during mobilization.
