Job Title: Early Childhood Educator, Infant Toddler

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and engaging environment for infants and toddlers, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement engaging activities based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and safe environment
  • Provide active supervision and support transitions between play areas
  • Communicate effectively with parents through our parent communication app
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in all program areas and common spaces
Requirements:
  • ECE IT certification from a recognized program in British Columbia
  • Special Needs Educator (SNE) certification is an asset
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate required
  • 3 professional reference checks to be completed
