Exciting Opportunity at Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd.

As a key member of our team at Barrick's Williams Mine, Hemlo Operations near Marathon, Ontario, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused individual to join our team as a Jumbo Offsider. In this role, you will assist the Jumbo Drill Operator with site prep, materials handling, and other duties as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle materials such as ore samples and drilling tools
  • Assist with production sample collection
  • Assist with ground support installation
  • Assist with installation of services as required
  • Underground integrated tool carrier operation
  • Truck driving as required
  • Maintain ground support areas
  • Assist with mine pump maintenance
Requirements:
  • Minimum high-school diploma or equivalent
  • Commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others
  • Experience working in an underground mine
  • Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core preferred
  • Previous experience as a Jumbo Offsider would be an asset
  • Valid driver's license
  • Be flexible and willing to assist with a variety of tasks as required
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly
  • Strong communications, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
