About the Role

Mackensie's Automotive Inc. is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring they are safe and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including electrical and mechanical problems
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and education
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate in Automobile/automotive mechanics technology/technician
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Level two and three apprenticeship training
  • Valid driving record check (abstract)
  • Steel-toed safety boots and tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Previous experience in an automotive service station
  • Apprenticeship training in policy and program experience
