About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team at Wild Flour Bakery Cafe. As a key member of our pastry team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked bakery.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all baked goods meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our pastry team to achieve our daily production goals and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances and provide excellent customer service to our patrons.
Work Environment

As a Bakery Assistant at Wild Flour Bakery Cafe, you can expect to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in our bakery, and proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
