Job Title: Bakery Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team at Wild Flour Bakery Cafe. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing dough, batters, and icings for a variety of baked goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet treats.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
  • Prepare special orders for customers with dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to a high standard.
  • Train and assist junior staff members in their roles.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure a smooth production process.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to a high standard.
Requirements:
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 30-40 hours per week. The work environment is physically demanding and requires attention to detail. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
