Overview of Your Role

As an intern, you will engage in engineering tasks, technology selection, and the execution of mechanical and multidisciplinary projects within the mining, energy, and heavy industry sectors. You will collaborate with our specialized teams in thermal systems and industrial building services, gaining exposure to a variety of scenarios that will enhance your technical skills in areas such as pumping, energy recovery, ventilation, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, piping, fire protection, compressed air, dust collection, and generators for diverse industrial applications.

Opportunities for Growth

Actively contribute to the execution of small, medium, and large multidisciplinary projects alongside a team of engineers and technicians. Collaborate on innovative projects focused on decarbonization and energy recovery within industrial sectors. Design systems for heat recovery (HVAC, power systems – cooling and heating loops). Conduct studies and detailed engineering tasks for clients involved in brownfield or greenfield projects. Support senior staff with the technical components of more complex assignments. Occasionally oversee the work of drafters or other team members as directed by a senior engineer.

Key Requirements

Enrolled in an undergraduate mechanical engineering program with at least 80 credits completed. Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with various applications, databases, and interfaces. Relevant experience in the industrial sector is preferred. Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: pumping, building services (HVAC), dust collection, and thermal systems. Bilingual proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written, with the ability to draft technical documents in both languages. Preferred: familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and AFT Fathom applications. Preferred: mechanical experience in heavy industry, energy, or mining sectors.
