The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and preparing financial statements that comply with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises;
- Completing month-end closing and preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
- Preparing daily bank reconciliations;
- Providing support to site managers and staff with regards to monthly financial results;
- Collecting and reporting daily and monthly activity (de-icing events, collection);
- Assisting with preparation for audits and tax returns, as required;
Requirements:
- Certified Public Accounting designation or working towards Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation preferred;
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in finance, accounting, business administration or relevant post-secondary education and a combination of continuing education and experience;
- 2+ years of progressive work experience in an accounting role;
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability;
- Above average written and oral communication skill;
- Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs;
- Ability to self-manage multiple, simultaneous projects on deadline;
