Position Overview:

Join the dedicated team at PHSA as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) focused on delivering exceptional care in mental health and substance use services. This role is integral to providing specialized support for adults facing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established care plans, including executing interventions, applying behavior management techniques, and administering prescribed medications.
  • Monitor and identify changes in patient conditions, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Gather and maintain comprehensive patient health information with precision.
  • Enhance the physical and emotional well-being of patients by evaluating clinical needs, formulating care strategies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Engage with team members and utilize additional resources for effective care planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid registration as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Nurse in British Columbia.
  • Completion of a recognized nursing education program.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a forensic or acute psychiatric care environment.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
