Job Summary

PM2CM, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team. As a Project Controls Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects ranging from $25M to $1B+.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Governance: Lead the effort to consolidate scope and cost for projects, ensuring adherence to governance processes and executive approval.
  • Cost Estimation: Develop and manage cost estimates for new Transmission & Distribution Substations, Rebuild/Expansion of Substations, Major Equipment Replacements, Protection Upgrades/SA3, and new Customer Substations.
  • Scope Management: Plan, schedule, and manage the process for gathering scope and cost for project aggregations at each stage gate from all disciplines.
  • Documentation Management: Manage supporting documentation for stage gate updates and regulatory filings.
  • Peer Review: Conduct peer reviews of project aggregations and cost estimates to ensure accuracy, scope, and jurisdictional splits.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Law, Regulatory, and others.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of four years of construction industry experience.
  • Civil Engineering: Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in computer-assisted design (AutoCAD) and other design, data recording, and analysis software.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
