Job Summary
We are looking for Insurance Advisors to support our Direct to Consumer Distribution channel. As an Insurance Advisor, you will be responsible for providing insurance solutions to new and existing customers, underwriting personal lines policies, and working closely with our sales team to drive strong customer retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer insurance needs and provide tailored insurance solutions
- Quote and sell insurance home and auto policies
- Assist new customers with their home and auto insurance needs
- Service existing customers by updating their policies to meet their changing needs and provide new products as required
- Drive strong customer retention by providing a world-class customer experience
- Underwrite new business, policy endorsements, and renewals by obtaining all necessary information from the customer relevant to pricing and risk analysis
- Stay up to date on underwriting and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- College diploma or university degree
- Sales and customer service experience (mandatory)
- OTL licensed or RIBO licensed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer-focused and ability to match products to customer needs
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize work
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software applications
- Insurance sales/service underwriting experience an asset
- Actively working towards CIP or FCIP designation an asset
