About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at pt Health in Porters Lake. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical and psycho-social recovery of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' physical and cognitive functioning in a clinic setting, conducting job demands analyses, functional capacity evaluations, cognitive abilities evaluations, ergonomic assessments, attendant care, and pre-employment assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning, educating clients on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities.
  • Support return-to-work programs, including job coaching and accommodation recommendations, and utilize e-charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Participate in case conferences and case management, collaborate with the inter-professional team, and supervise Occupational Therapy students as needed.
  • Network with stakeholders to promote Lifemark OT programs and manage caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development and FCE Trained.
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WCB referrals is an asset, as is experience supporting occupational rehabilitation.
