Job Summary

Our Personal Support Workers (PSWs) report to the Client Services Coordinator and are responsible for delivering high-quality care that ensures clients' safety and comfort in their own homes. Services are tailored to individual needs, as outlined in personalized care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care, activities of daily living, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
  • Accompany clients on outings, appointments, shopping, and errands as needed
  • Provide companionship and social support to clients
  • Offer respite for families and caregivers
  • Document daily activities and charting in electronic records
Requirements
  • Proficient communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to speak other languages is an asset, with Russian being a requirement
  • Ability to travel to and from clients using public transportation or personal vehicle
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (RPN, RN, foreign-trained healthcare professional)
  • Previous experience as a PSW is an asset
  • Access to internet and mobile phone
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Vulnerable Sector Screen or recent Police Clearance Certificate
