We are seeking a skilled Licensed Millwright/Mechanic to join our team at Atlantic Packaging Products Ltd in Scarborough. This is a full-time position with a rotating shift schedule, working 8 hours every 2 weeks, and a competitive wage of $40.82 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Collaborate with the instrumentation and electrical departments to troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines, including those set by the Ministry of Labour.
- Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License (433A)
- Full set of metric and standard tools (up to 24 mm/1")
- Red Seal Journeyman certification
- Experience with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, and welding/cutting
- All-position welding skills, particularly with stainless steel pipe and guard repairs
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and work with other trades and operators
- Flexibility to work shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Safety training, including fall arrest, hoisting and rigging, and hand tool safety
- Dental care, disability insurance, extended health care, life insurance, on-site parking, and vision care
