Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
- Sanitation and Hygiene: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas.
- Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
- Laundry and Linens: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens.
- Window Cleaning: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: Will train.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to work independently, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
- Personal Qualities: Punctuality, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics, patience, honesty.
- Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
- Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees.
- Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
- Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
- Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
