About Ecofor
Ecofor Consulting Ltd. is a leader in natural and cultural resource management, with a presence in British Columbia, the Yukon, Alberta, and Nova Scotia. We focus on fisheries, wildlife, aquatic and terrestrial resources, environmental management, archaeology, cultural resources, land use planning, ground penetrating radar, and forestry.
About the Opportunity
Ecofor is currently looking for Lead Archaeological Field Supervisors to join our team. This role involves leading field reconnaissance and archaeological impact assessments for various industries, including oil and gas, hydro, forestry, and transportation.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Leading field surveys and assessments to identify archaeological potential and sites.
- Collecting and managing data in compliance with permit requirements.
- Collaborating with local First Nations and writing interim reports.
- Promoting a strong safety culture and working within Ecofor's collaborative environment.
More About You
To be considered for this position, you should possess an undergraduate degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Candidates with the following qualifications will be preferred:
- Strong writing and communication skills, with a desire to collaborate with environmental professionals and First Nations.
- Experience in Cultural Resource Management, particularly in a supervisory capacity.
- Familiarity with the provincial heritage assessment regulations in British Columbia and/or Yukon.
- Proficiency with GPS devices, mapping software, and data collection techniques.
- Ability to perform physically demanding fieldwork in various conditions.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software.
- Willingness to travel and stay in remote locations.
- Skills in operating snowmobiles, ATVs, and UTVs are advantageous.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
