Job Summary

Finning is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Supervisor to lead our team of technicians in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our heavy equipment fleet. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for championing a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and policies, and providing leadership and guidance to our technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in daily review and update meetings to ensure compliance with safety standards and policies.
  • Conduct pre-job, mid-job, and post-job reviews to identify and address any safety concerns or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Safety Code and perform regular inspections of equipment to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Lead and participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our technicians, including recruitment, selection, orientation, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve safety and efficiency in our operations.
Requirements
  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification.
  • Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and hazard Assessment.
  • Understanding of the National Safety Code.
  • Effective leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
