Motive Studios, a renowned game development studio and part of Electronic Arts, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Artist to join our team. As a Technical Artist - Performance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-performance and quality of our next Battlefield title.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the art and software engineering teams to optimize game performance and quality.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve rendering and content creation in modern game engines.
  • Provide technical feedback to project leaders on performance and budgets, ensuring alignment with artistic goals and practical reality.
  • Conduct in-depth performance evaluations of content and scenes, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Document technical processes for art and technical artists project-wide, ensuring consistency and quality.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in technical art for games, with a strong background in high-level Technical Artistry.
  • Knowledge of how art affects performance and rendering in modern game engines.
  • Strong understanding of content creation, 3D engines, and pipelines, with expertise in designing and optimizing them.
  • Proficiency in profiling tools such as PIX/Razor or RenderDoc.
  • Good understanding of asset optimization challenges and content creation best practices.
  • Basic skills in scripting, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
