Nurse Care Specialist

As a Registered Nurse with RT Medical, you'll provide care to individuals who need assistance with the effects of aging, injury, surgery, or illness. This role involves:
- Collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop care plans
- Evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusting plans as needed
- Acting as a patient advocate to protect and promote patient rights
- Traveling within your region to provide care to patients in their homes, clinics, or other settings
- Performing other clinical duties as required
- Delegating tasks as needed within your scope of practice
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing degree (BN), or be a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Experience as a visiting nurse, visiting registered nurse, visiting registered practical nurse, or community nurse is considered an asset
- Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach, with the ability to lift 50lbs (23 kg) independently
- Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification
- Updated immunization records, including a two-step tuberculosis test within the last 6 months
- Clear criminal background check and Vulnerable Sector check upon hire
- Ability to interact with others in a caring, tactful, and courteous manner
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and crisis resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid G2/G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, with daily travel of more than 1 hour
