Job Summary:

As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across Canada, adhering to strict safety standards and regulations. You will work closely with our dispatch team to ensure timely deliveries and pickups, and maintain a clean and organized vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials
  • Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections to ensure fleet standards are met
  • Record driving and freight information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption on electronic logbook
  • Follow guidelines for food load distribution, food handling, and safety
  • Receive and relay information to dispatch
  • Ensure load is always secure
  • Report any discrepancies or delivery delays
  • Perform fleet preventative maintenance
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and submit daily reports to head office
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with AZ and acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle
  • Knowledge of main highways of Ontario and geographical knowledge of other provinces
  • Ability to drive long hours and long distances
  • Knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations
What We Offer:
  • $27.50 per hour
  • Overtime: $41.25 per hour after 44 hours per week
  • 10 paid days or vacation pay 4% of gross pay
  • Job Protected Unpaid Leave: 10 days for personal emergencies
