We are seeking a highly skilled Grain Grader Level 3 to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our grain inspection and grading team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of grain shipments.
Key Responsibilities- Grain Inspection and Grading: Conduct thorough inspections and grading of various grain types, including wheat, oil seeds, and pulses.
- Technical Guidance and Training: Provide technical guidance and training to junior grading staff to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate directly with grain elevators to provide guidance and updates on grade issues.
- Laboratory Analysis: Conduct laboratory analysis, grading, and review of data in accordance with the CGC guide.
- Grain Inspector Level 1: Perform all responsibilities of a Grain Inspector and a Grader Level 2.
- Grain Grader Level 2: Inspect and grade all types of grain arriving at the laboratory or during onsite inspections.
- A minimum of a High School diploma.
- Over 2 years of experience as a Grain Grader Level 2.
- Previous experience in performing preliminary grain inspections and grain grading would be an asset.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Proficiency in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and composition.
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
- Travel to other SGS locations or client locations may be required from time to time.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Ensure full compliance with the company's Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
