About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Benson Cabinetry & Millwork. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinets and furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts and components
  • Prepare specifications for custom-made cabinets to maximize storage
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools
  • Study plans and specifications to ensure accurate production
  • Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units
  • Sand and finish wood surfaces to a high standard
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Utilize hand and power tools to complete tasks
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment
