Associate Lawyer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Lawyer to join our team at Taylor MacLellan Cochrane. As an Associate Lawyer, you will be responsible for advising clients on their legal rights and matters related to law, performing administrative functions, and pleading cases before courts of law.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Advise clients on their legal rights and matters related to law
  2. Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law
  3. Plead cases before courts of law, tribunals, and boards
  4. Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion
  5. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes
  6. Research legal precedents and gather evidence
Requirements:
  1. Membership in the Canadian Bar Association
  2. Membership in a provincial or territorial law society
