Position Overview

The role of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic Supervisor involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and safely.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in heavy-duty equipment mechanics.
Work Environment

This position is primarily based in agricultural settings, where the supervision of machinery operations is crucial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics and apprentices.
  • Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop strategies to optimize workflow and collaboration among teams.
Supervisory Duties

Responsible for managing a team of 5-10 mechanics and apprentices, providing guidance and support as needed.

Required Certifications
  • Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate.
Transportation Requirements

A valid driver's license is necessary for this role.

Work Conditions
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
Tools and Equipment

Steel-toed safety boots are required for this position.
