Job Title: Wine Harvest Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Wine Harvest Assistant at Inniskillin Wines, Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist in the wine production process, including crushing and receiving grapes, additions, inoculations, pump overs, and cleaning. They will also be responsible for daily fermentation checks and reporting any issues to the winemaking team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the crushing and receiving of grapes, including operating the crusher/de-stemmer and receiving hopper.
  • Participate in additions, inoculations, and pump overs, under the guidance of our experienced staff.
  • Contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tanks, and barrels.
  • Perform daily fermentation checks and report any issues to the winemaking team.
  • Assist in the preparation and storage of barrels, including sulphur, cleaning, rehydrating, and filling.
Requirements:
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for wine.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and techniques.
  • Punctuality, organization, and a willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Driver's license and own transportation required.
  • Lab skills and fluency in English are assets.
Additional Information:

We offer a competitive harvest pay rate, dependent on experience, and the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art wine technology. Our harvest schedule includes split shifts, with days and afternoons, and overtime pay after 44 hours.
