Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Harvest Intern at Inniskillin Wines, Inc. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the wine production process and work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the crushing and receiving of grapes, including operating the crusher/de-stemmer and receiving hopper.
  • Participate in additions, inoculations, and pump overs/pulse air activities.
  • Contribute to cleaning and maintenance tasks, including cleaning tanks, totes, bins, and equipment.
  • Assist in barrel work, including sulphur, cleaning, rehydrating, filling, and storing of red/white barrels.
  • Perform daily fermentation checks and report any issues or concerns to the winemaking team.

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for wine.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and techniques.
  • Punctuality, organization, and a willingness to go above and beyond are essential.
  • Driver's license and own transportation required.
  • Lab skills and fluency in English are assets.
  • Forklift license is an asset.

  • Competitive pay and overtime opportunities.
  • Split shift during harvest, with 8-10 hour shifts depending on workload.
  • Harvest pay will depend on experience, with opportunities for advancement.
