Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Chilliwack Husky Travel Centre. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Operations Management: Plan and organize daily operations, including managing staff and assigning duties, to ensure that our store is running efficiently and effectively.
- Market Research: Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors' operations on sales.
- Merchandise and Services: Determine merchandise and services to be sold, locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, and develop and implement marketing strategies.
- Financial Management: Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure that our store is financially stable.
- Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, and provide exceptional customer service to our customers.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Support for Youths: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment.
- Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Work Environment:
- Permanent
- 30 hours per week
- English
