About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant Manager to join our Transitional Care team in West Bedford, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing oversight and direction to ensure quality patient care consistent with applicable legislation, nursing regulatory standards, and Shannex's Vision, Core Values, and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and promote a client-directed philosophy by placing clients first
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the client documentation system
  • Promote and maintain effective communication with the interdisciplinary team to support quality client care and services
  • Direct, promote, and evaluate organizational standards, goals, and objectives to assure optimal level of care and services for clients
  • Assure compliance with regulatory agencies and the accreditation process
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including 2 years clinical nursing and 2 years administrative experience or equivalent
  • Desire to work in a progressive environment that embraces change
