Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the needs of residents.
- Ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Clear Criminal Record check.
All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
