We are seeking a skilled Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at our Peterbilt Dealership in Cardinal. This position involves the repair and maintenance of Truck & Trailer based equipment and attachments in a field environment.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the working condition of equipment, diagnose issues, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and repair on-road equipment.
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Utilize related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
- Accurately document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken.
- Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
- Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Locate parts using parts catalogues and order parts from parts personnel.
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
- Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
- Experience in CAT, CUMMINs, and PACCAR engines.
- Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems.
- Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment.
- Registration in the 310T trade.
- Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
