About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher Assistant to join our team at WIT FOODS INC. as a Meat Processing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of meats for sale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, ensuring a high level of quality and safety.
  • Cut and Trim Meats: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat for packaging and sale.
  • Package and Label Meats: Wrap and package prepared meats, ensuring accurate labeling and packaging.
  • Weigh and Price Meats: Weigh meats for sale and price meat products accurately.
  • Grind Meats: Grind meats as required for various products.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires standing for extended periods and physical demands. You will be working in a meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, physically demanding, and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and a team player.
