About the Role:

As an Instrument Aide at North York General Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing and maintenance of medical/surgical instrumentation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reprocessing medical/surgical instrumentation to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Picking cases for Operating Room procedures to ensure seamless workflow
  • Assembling inhalation equipment to meet the needs of our patients
  • Operating technical equipment and supplies, such as autoclaves and cartwash, to maintain a sterile environment
  • Transporting instrumentation and supplies to various departments within the hospital
  • Adhering to health and safety policies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Community College certificate in Sterile Supply Processing
  • Endoscopy/Olympus certification and experience, preferably in a similar role
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a CSR Instrument Aide
  • MDRD certification, preferably in a related field
  • Fluency in English, with French bilingualism being a valuable asset
