Investment Consulting Analyst

As part of a leading team in the industry, the Analyst will contribute to achieving results for our institutional clients by providing innovative and effective solutions through our Investment Consulting Practice.
Applicants must possess legal authorization to work in Canada. This position does not qualify for sponsorship, and we are unable to provide sponsorship for an employment visa or work permit.
The salary range for this role is $55,400 - $73,900. The actual compensation will depend on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity considerations.

Daily Responsibilities
As an Analyst in Investment Consulting, your daily tasks will encompass individual client performance reporting and portfolio analysis, along with Consultant-led special projects on a variety of investment subjects.
- Compile performance monitoring reports for institutional clients
- Create presentations on investment themes (e.g., selection of investment managers, investment manager structure, asset classes)
- Conduct searches for investment managers
- Review and revise governance documents (e.g., statement of investment policies and procedures)
- Assist experienced client teams in all aspects of client service
- Engage in internal research and seminars concerning investment ideas and current industry trends
- Prepare performance monitoring reports for institutional clients, which include:
- Collecting qualitative and quantitative data from external managers, custodians, and other data sources
- Calculating performance metrics
- Creating and modifying charts and tables
- Drafting commentary on investment manager performance
- Draft communications for clients and third parties in collaboration with consultants and peers;
- Utilize various investment software tools;
- Conduct peer reviews of work completed by other analysts.
Qualifications for Success
- 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred
- General understanding of the institutional investment landscape, investment concepts, and financial markets
- Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented individual
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., array and lookup formulas)
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite: Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- Positive attitude and a commitment to contributing to Aon's success
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in Business Administration, Commerce, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Economics
- Commitment to professional growth, with a recommendation to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
- Aon supports candidates in the CFA program by covering tuition costs, and upon completion of each level, a salary increase and bonus are provided.
