Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Event Director to join our team at Accor Hotels. As an Assistant Director of Events, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our events and conventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Assist the Director of Event Sales & Services in planning and executing complex group events, including full or partial hotel buyouts.
    • Ensure that all event details are accurately prepared and distributed to ensure operational success.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Establish and maintain rapport with clients, exceeding their expectations and encouraging repeat business.
    • Drive function space optimization/maximization to ensure best utilization of space for guest experience and financial performance of the department.
  • Team Management
    • Assist the Director with departmental recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
    • Inspire high-performing multi-cultural, multi-generational teams that build the ACCOR Events talent pipeline.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Assist the Director in ensuring that Health & Safety standards, as well as departmental policies and procedures, are complied with.
    • Manage group and interpersonal conflict effectively.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hotel event planning experience required.
  • Creative and passionate about events and customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
