Position Overview
The Senior Nurse Practitioner Leader at Vancouver Coastal Health plays a pivotal role in guiding and supporting Nurse Practitioners throughout the organization. This position involves collaboration with diverse departments and programs to foster optimal practice environments and ensure excellence in clinical care for Nurse Practitioners. The Senior Nurse Practitioner Leader will also be instrumental in advancing electronic health record initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert guidance and consultation to Nurse Practitioners
- Design and execute programs and improvements
- Cultivate effective partnerships with stakeholders
- Observe and analyze trends and challenges in nursing practice
- Uphold quality assurance and patient safety standards
Qualifications
- Active registration as a Nurse Practitioner with BCCNM
- At least 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations and policies
- Capability to mentor and coach colleagues
- Proficiency in relevant technology and software applications
