About the Role
Magna, a leading innovator in the automotive and heavy truck industries, seeks a skilled Millwright to join our team. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various machinery, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to prescribed tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, using a variety of tools and machinery.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime.
- Inspect equipment regularly to prevent malfunctions and ensure safe operation.
- Document findings and schedule maintenance using eMaint software and tablet.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools.
- A valid Certificate of Qualification in the Industrial Millwright trade (433A).
- Welding experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Industrial machine repair skills.
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, specifications, and manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical and electrical procedures.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
