Job Summary:

The Rehabilitation Assistant will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients, focusing on restoring, maintaining, and improving functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, including rehabilitation techniques and support services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in rehabilitation and patient care.
  • Meet the physical and mental demands of the role, including working varied shifts and maintaining a high level of energy and focus.

Requirements:

  • High School graduation or equivalent, plus an additional Rehabilitation Techniques Program/Course of over one year and up to two years.
  • Experience working with adult patients is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the target population of Extra-Mural Services.
  • Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Current CPR Level C certification.
  • Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team, possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Good attendance record and ability to work all shifts as assigned.
  • High regard for confidentiality and excellent work habits.
  • Good computer knowledge and skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
