As a Clinical Educator - Nursing Heart, Lung & Vascular Program at St. Michael's Hospital, you will play a vital role in shaping the nursing practice and education of our team. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing education plans that enhance patient outcomes and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver education programs tailored to the specific needs of our nursing staff, incorporating evidence-based practices and research findings.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional teams and external partners to advance best practices in education and evidence-based nursing practice.
  • Assess learning needs and styles of nursing staff, providing timely feedback and coaching to support their professional development.
  • Participate in research projects that contribute to nursing and inter-professional practice and education, and support the implementation of evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in the General Class.
  • Master's degree in nursing required or currently enrolled and completing it within 4 years.
  • Required credentials or certifications unique to each unit/program.
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience with general medicine and proficiency with vascular access skills such as intravenous insertion.
  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with nurses and interprofessional teams to improve patient care and outcomes.
