Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanics Instructor to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As an Industrial Mechanics Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to students, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the industrial mechanics trade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs that meet the needs of students and industry partners.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, and assessments that evaluate student learning and progress.
  • Supervise students in classroom and laboratory settings, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Counsel students on career opportunities and provide guidance on program requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure training programs meet industry needs and standards.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements, incorporating new knowledge and skills into training programs.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Inter-provincial Journeyperson certificate in the Industrial Mechanics trade.
  • Two years' recent/relevant post-Journeyperson experience as an Industrial Mechanic.
  • Effective instructional ability, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of technology, including the internet, email, and MS Office Suite software.
Working Environment

This is a full-time position working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to deliver high-quality training programs.
