About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Home Renovation Project Manager to join our team at 88 Homes Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the renovation of new residential homes and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
    • Coordinate with trade subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
    • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they are within approved budgets
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Inspect work in progress to ensure that it meets quality and safety standards
    • Identify and report any defects or issues to the project team
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and expectations
    • Provide regular project updates and communicate any changes or issues that may affect the project timeline or budget
  • Team Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and mentor a team of construction professionals
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure that team members are working effectively and efficiently
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in residential construction or renovation
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Environment and Setting
    • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
    • Work in dusty and potentially odorous environments
    • Work in new residential home building and renovation settings
  • Work Setting and Tasks
    • Plan and manage budgets for construction projects
    • Select and employ trade subcontractors and coordinate their activities
    • Inspect subcontractors' work to ensure quality and conformity with plans and specifications
    • Perform various trade work during home construction or renovation activities
    • Develop and implement financial and operating plans
    • Prepare estimates and bids for home construction, renovation, and restoration projects
    • Work with customers, architects, and engineers regarding plans and specifications
    • Prepare and maintain directories of supplies and trade contractors
    • Ensure that construction permits are obtained
    • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations
  • Supervision and Experience
    • Supervise 1 to 2 people
    • Have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
    • Have a permanent employment status
    • Speak English as a primary language
    • Work 35 hours per week
