The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our horticultural services, including the supervision of staff, planning and execution of projects, and ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Supervision: Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective operation of our services.
- Project Planning: Plan and estimate labor and materials for projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Construction Management: Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscape features.
- Labor Management: Plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work, ensuring high-quality results.
- Procurement: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operation of our services.
- Accessible Recruitment: Apply accessible and inclusive recruitment policies that accommodate persons with disabilities.
- Newcomer and Refugee Support: Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
- Youth Support: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Veteran Support: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Veterans.
- Indigenous Support: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Mature Worker Support: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination and offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.
