About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Total Site Services Ltd. as a Heavy Truck Repair Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Utilize your technical expertise to diagnose and repair complex issues with heavy trucks, including engines, transmissions, and other critical systems.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to prevent breakdowns and ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Repair and Replacement: Effectively repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, and other critical components, to ensure vehicles are safe and reliable.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work performed, parts used, and any issues encountered.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy truck repair and maintenance
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring regular bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Language: English language proficiency
