Job Title: Experienced Matte Painter

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced matte painter to join our team of talented artists and technicians. As a matte painter, you will be responsible for creating high-quality digital matte paintings that meet the creative direction of our productions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create digital matte paintings that meet creative direction using live action elements, still photography, concept art, rendered CG elements, and digital painted elements.
  • Work under the guidance of the feature animation production Environment Supervisor or Matte Painting Lead.
  • Collaborate with other artists and technicians to ensure that all visual effects meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our workflows and processes.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Maya, and Nuke is required.
  • Knowledge of other tools such as Katana, Mari, Houdini, Speedtree, or Linux is a plus.
  • Experience of 3+ years in VFX or feature films is preferred.
