Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager/Manager to lead our Data Governance team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data governance strategy that ensures the accuracy, security, and compliance of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a data governance framework that aligns with our business strategy and ensures data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines that govern data management, privacy, security, quality, and compliance.
  • Establish data standards and definitions to promote consistency, accuracy, and interoperability across the organization.
  • Develop and implement processes for data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with IS security teams to develop and implement new data governance policies to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data assets.
  • Facilitate and influence senior executives in supporting the implementation of a data governance committee.
  • Communicate decisions made by the Data Governance Committee to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, etc.
  • 8+ years of experience in data governance, business intelligence, and data analysis.
  • Proven experience leading, developing, and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Project Management experience to oversee the implementation of data governance initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and technologies such as data governance platforms, data cataloging tools, metadata management tools, and data quality tools.
  • Knowledge of database systems, data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, quantify, and effectively raise business risks associated with data governance or non-compliance.
  • Awareness of data protection regulations and compliance requirements.
